Description
The sterile powder-free (polymer coated) latex surgical gloves are a disposable device made of
natural rubber latex. Gloves provide barrier protection to both patients and healthcare workers
against exchanging microorganisms through their hands and body fluids. Because of the excellent
elasticity, durability, tactile properties, low microbial/fluid penetration rate and low cost, natural
rubber latex (NRL) gloves have been the most widely used. Surgical gloves have precise sizing with
better precision and sensitivity and are made to a higher standard. The gloves are anatomically
shaped with polymer coating and classified under Medical Device Class IIa and Personal Protective
Equipment Category III.
